To buy digital currency through Coinmama, you need to set up an account. You can do so by registering or by filling out the form on the home page. Once you're on the registration form you'll be requested to insert some basic information.
- Email address : This email will be used regularly to update you about order status on www.coinmama, wallet address etc.
- First and Last Name : Use your real name when registering, as it will be used when placing orders.
- Middle name : The middle name is not a mandatory field.
- Country : Select the country you are physically in and ordering from.
After completing the registration, you will be send a link to your email to verify the email which you have used to register.

To purchase with credit/debit card, you need to verify your account.
To get started, log in to your account, click My account and then click Verify my account.

Choose how much you want to buy You can either choose one of the packages or put in a specific amount

Please note that you may need to enter a 3D Secure code, sent to your phone by your bank, in order to complete the payment. This depends on your card issuer.
After completing the payment, your order will now change status to In Process, which means that it's being processed by the credit card processor.
The order is processed within a few seconds. Once the payment is approved, and you have confirmed wallet address, we usually send the coins within 10 minutes. You'll be able to see them as soon as the Blockchain has confirmed the transaction - this may take another 10 minutes.
The amount of time it takes to complete your order depends on whether you are buying or selling cryptocurrency, which coin you have selected, and the payment method you use.
When buying cryptocurrency, your payment method will mostly determine the speed of your transaction.
- Credit and debit card purchases are generally approved and processed within ten minutes. In most cases, you'll have your coins within ten minutes after that.
- Bank transfer payments are initiated by the customer through their online banking system or at the bank branch. If you've sent a payment to Coinmama via bank transfer, it will usually take 1-3 business days to clear. Bitcoins will be sent to our wallet as soon as the transferred funds are received at Coinmama and we will usually see the coins in our wallet about ten minutes after that.
Occasionally, receiving coins takes a bit longer due to Blockchain delays.

Whilst purchasing the Bitcoins from Coinmama via Debit/Credit cards you may see the following Order Status in your Coinmama Bitcoin account
If your payment was declined, one of the most common reasons is Do not honor - financial jargon for "The payment was declined by your card issuer, and they won't tell why". To prevent this from happening again, call your card issuing bank, tell them that the transaction was declined by them (you can mention "error code 05 - do not honor") and ask them to allow future payments with Coinmama.
After they confirm that future payments will go through it is recommended to wait 30 minutes before placing a new order.
It is also important to make sure that:
- You entered the correct CVV code (the 3 digits on the back of your card)
- You've entered the correct billing information
- The card is approved for international/online purchases
- There are sufficient funds available
- The card is not expired or cancelled.
- The card has not been reported stolen or lost
Alternatively, you can always try with a different card, as that may also do the trick.
PS: If you don't have the number of your card issuing bank, it may show on the back of your card.
When an order is Cancelled it means that you either manually cancelled it from your account page, from the credit card payment page, or asked us to cancel it for you.
Note : You will never be charged for a cancelled order.
Your order Failed because your credit card was declined. This can happen for a number of reasons, but the most common is that it was declined by your bank or card issuer. Try calling them and ask if they refused the payment.
Alternatively, you can create a new order and pay with a different card.

If your order has Expired it means that you didn't finish the payment process.
